Privacy Policy

DJ Prep ("we", "our", "the app") is built for DJs who want to convert video sets into clean WAV tracks. We believe privacy is a feature, not a checkbox — this policy describes exactly what data the app handles, and what it does not.

Data we collect

None that personally identifies you. DJ Prep does not require an account, does not ask for your email, name, or phone number, and does not include any third-party advertising trackers.

Data stored on your device and in your iCloud

• Your converted WAV tracks and conversion history are stored locally on your device, and — when you are signed in to iCloud — automatically synced to your personal iCloud Drive container (iCloud.com.djprep.DJPrep). This data lives in your own Apple account; we have no access to it.
• App preferences (tier state, onboarding completion, audio settings) are stored in your device's standard application defaults.
• Original screen recordings made through the built-in recorder are saved to your Photos library, only with your permission.

Data sent to our AI cover generation service

When you use the optional AI cover generation feature, the app sends the text prompt you entered (or a prompt automatically built from the track's title and artist) to our generation service hosted on Cloudflare Workers AI. We send only the prompt — no device identifier, no IP-based profiling, no link to your identity. Generated images are returned to your device and never stored on our servers.

Purchases and subscriptions

All purchases are processed by Apple via StoreKit. We do not see your payment method, billing address, or Apple ID. We receive only the anonymous receipt indicating which tier you have active, used solely to unlock features inside the app.

Analytics

We use Apple's built-in App Analytics, which provides aggregate, anonymous usage statistics through App Store Connect. Apple's privacy policy governs this data; you can opt out in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.

We may, in future versions of the app, integrate additional privacy-respecting analytics such as TelemetryDeck or anonymous in-app event counters, strictly to understand which features are used and to detect crashes. Any such integration will continue to follow the principles in this policy: no advertising identifiers, no cross-app tracking, no personal data, no third-party data sale.

Permissions the app may request

• Photos (add only): to save downloaded covers and original screen recordings.
• Photo library (read): only when you choose to import a video for conversion.
• Microphone: not requested — the built-in recorder captures system audio only, not your microphone.

Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share user data with any third party for advertising, marketing, profiling, or any other purpose. We do not have an advertising SDK, attribution SDK, or cross-app tracking framework integrated.

Children's privacy

DJ Prep is intended for users 13 years and older and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any data from children.

Your rights

Because we do not collect personal data, there is no user record on our servers to access, correct, or delete. You can fully delete your local app data at any time by removing the DJ Prep folder from iCloud Drive and uninstalling the app from your device.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, surface the change inside the app.
